Are you wanting to improve your child’s soccer skills? If so, this specially discounted program sponsored by Salado FC (SYSA) at Avila Soccer Round Rock is for you! It’s an amazing opportunity to get your child some extra time skills practice once a week. This high-quality weekly training program uses the Avila Method™, a unique methodology tailored to the needs of young athletes. The use of a small indoor turf allows maximum action, quickens the pace of training, forces development of reaction skills, and encourages creativity. Training will consist of a 1.5 hour specialty skills soccer training class, exclusive to SYSA eligible players.

Note: the day/time a player signs up for will be his/her day/time for the entire semester

Level & Age Group

Players will be divided by age and level within the 4-18 age group

A Baseline Assessment will be mandatory in order to determine player’s level. The $10 fee is waived due to SYSA sponsorship, but must be scheduled.

Attending Classes

1.  Schedule your Baseline Assessment

The Baseline Assessment is the initial entry requirement to Avila Soccer. All players, are required to take the take the assessment. The fee is waived (sponsored by SYSA) but players must schedule their assessments either before or on the first day of their training. The purpose of the Baseline Assessment is to assign an armband to the player.

2.  Attending Specialty Skills Classes

Players can attend up 1.5 hours each week of Specialty Skills Classes
Players are assigned to attend either Tuesday or Friday only

  • 5:45 pm – 7:15 pm (11/1 – 12/27)
  • 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm (1/6 – 5/15)

The day/time a player signs up for will be his/her day/time for the entire semester.
Please do not attend a class that is not assigned to you.
It’s not necessary to sign up for specific classes, but players must check-in through the computers in the lobby prior to their class.
Classes will be held at Avila Soccer Round Rock (16501 Bratton Lane)

If players are unable to make their session, please text Avila staff at 512.710.6406. and inform them of absences. The player may ask for a make-up if there are any available spots on his/her unassigned day.

3.  Attending Winter Camp

Thanks to the SYSA sponsorship, SYSA players may attend Avila’s Winter Camp for free. Like Specialty Skills classes, players do not need to sign-up for specific classes, but must check-in through the computers in the lobby prior to attending a class.
