General League Policies
- one (1) goal at 2 minutes in
- an additional goal at 3 minutes in
- an additional goal at 4 minutes in

- $20 during the final week – semi-finals/championship matches. Players must have guest played on any team during the regular season
Identification Policy
All players must present an ID showing date of birth (examples: driver’s license, TX ID, passport etc.) prior to matches each week.
If players do not present any identification before the match, they may take a photo and send it by text message (512.650.8112) to Avila staff within 24 hours after the game.
If identification is not sent within 24 hours after the game:
- any offending team’s score will result in a forfeit loss. They will receive 0 goals and the team they played will retain the goals they scored.
- If both teams are in violation, their score will be 0-0
- If there is a tie or a loss in which the the team in compliance scored less than 3 goals, the result will be a 3-0 win for the team in compliance
- If any player from the offending team receives any honors (MVP, Best Passer or Best Defender), they will forfeit their honors for that week.
*Guest Players: must always show their identification prior to a match. If identification is not presented, they will not be allowed to play.

Scoring
- does not have to score a goal
- penalty kick must go in the air
- men’s goals worth one (1) point
- women’s goals worth two (2) points
- 3 people have to touch the ball before a team can score
- own-goals are awarded one (1) point
- female hitting crossbar is worth three (3) points
Special rules for excessive lead or mismatch
If a team goes up by 4 goals, the other team can add 2 players immediately (Clarification: yes that’s right, 2 players right away can be added, not just one).
If the team that now has 6 scores, they must go down to 4 players.

Ball out of Play
- The ball is out of play when it touches any netting above the perimeter walls.
- The ball is out of play when it makes contact with the superstructure (ceiling/lights/beams).
- The ball is out of play when it makes contact with any player or spectator outside the arena walls.

Fouls and other Violations
A free kick shall be awarded to the opposing team from the point of infraction, for a player who commits any of the following offenses (all fouls are called at the discretion of the Referee):

Blue Card (2-minute player penalty; team remains with 4 on the field)
A Blue card shall be assessed for serious fouls and incidents that may include:
- Boarding (propelling an opponent into the wall)
- Elbowing
- Striking
- Slide tackling
- Deliberate handball
- Substitution violations
- Unsportsmanlike behavior
- Multiple fouls/penalties assessed against a player
- Encroachment (continual violation)
- Delay of game (continual violation)
- Incidental foul language or spitting on the field
- Other offenses deemed severe or blatant

Yellow Card (4-minute player penalty, team plays a man down until there is power play goal)
A Yellow card shall be assessed for reckless fouls and incidents that may include:
- A second Blue card (for fouls above)
- Unsportsmanlike behavior (continual violation)
- Provoking altercation, short of fighting (i.e. pushing, poking)

Red Card (Player Ejection, 5-minute team penalty)
A Red card shall be assessed for violent fouls and incidents that may include:
- A third Blue card or third time penalty (for fouls above)
- Intentionally elbowing an opponent above the shoulder
- Vicious slide tackling, seriously endangering/injuring an opponent
- Fighting
- Leaving Team Bench area to engage in a fight or confrontation with the opposition or Referee
- Extreme unsportsmanlike behavior including:
- Spitting at an opponent or other person
- Extremely abusive language or behavior towards an opponent or Referee
- Bodily contact with Referee in dissent
- After two power play goals, the team can put another player back on the field other than the player who was ejected from the building
A player issued a Red card for fighting or abuse of a referee will be required to leave the building. Any player refusing to leave after being asked by the person in charge, whether it is a referee or staff member, will result in the Police called and a complaint filed.
Players receiving a Red card are suspended from all activities at Avila until their case is ruled upon by management. The violator’s team captain/coach must call the facility the next day to get management’s ruling or time table of management’s ruling before the violating player may play at Avila again.
A person who makes an attempt to intimidate the referee by the threat of physical abuse, pushing or attempting to make contact with the Referee can be suspended from all play at the facility for a period of at least one (1) year. A person who strikes or attempts to strike a Referee (or any employee) shall receive a permanent Avila expulsion.
A person/player receiving two Red cards in accumulation will receive an Avila expulsion for at least one (1) year.
A person/player receiving three Red cards or more in accumulation can receive a Avila expulsion for life.

Delayed Penalty
- Opponent’s possession: the offending team gains possession of the ball
- Any stoppage: referee stops play for any reason
Serving Penalties
- All players must serve their own penalties.
- Players serving their time penalties must serve their entire time penalty before returning to play, unless they are the only bench player available.
- For each time penalty being served by a player, his or her team plays with one less field player until the time penalty expires.
- Should a player receive a time penalty and the time penalty drops the team below the minimum amount of players to play, the offending team must forfeit the game.
Power Play Goal
- If a team is scored upon while having fewer players on the field, due to one or more players serving time penalties, a player may return from the team’s bench/penalty area. A player serving a time penalty must serve their entire time penalty.
- If both teams receive time penalties at the same time and/or have equal numbers of players serving time penalties, the Power play goal is not in effect.
Multiple Penalties
- When a team has two players in the penalty box and a goal is scored by the opposing team, only the first player penalized can be replaced. If another goal is scored, the second player may be replaced even though both players must serve out their penalties in the box. Only two players may serve time penalties at a time. If a third player receives a time penalty, his/her time penalty does not begin until at least one of the other teammates’ time penalties has expired.
