A letter to our Avila Soccer families | March 25, 2020

It’s with a heavy heart that we closed our doors Monday in anticipation of the shelter-in-place orders put in place by the city of Austin that went into effect at midnight. It was the right thing to do at the critical juncture of a public health pandemic and we must do what we can to minimize the spread of Covid-19.

We will continue to monitor the situation and as soon as it’s deemed safe, reopen our fields. That means adhering to the federal, state and city guidelines for the safety and health of everyone.

We are actively monitoring and updating our response and operations to reflect this rapidly, evolving situation to be ready with flexible extended training options so that we can all continue where we left off.

It is inevitable that this situation creates new challenges and hardships for all of us.
