4v4 Adult League – Divisions

Men's 1

This division consists of some of the highest level players. They are skilled, fit and aggressive, not to mention assertive off the ball. It’s here we start to see teams that can not only score, but possess.

Men's 2

Some of Austin’s finest players play in this division and have dazzling skill. Other teams may not be so together, and not as skilled. However, they tend to have enough shape as a team and understanding of tactics to hang in there and nick goals and points from the better teams.

Women's

While a specific subdivision has not been named like 1, 2, 3 or 4, we still tend to get the best female players here despite the Division simply titled Women’s. Many played in college or in the past, and or also played select soccer in their youth. We do see multiple ages here because as with the Men’s division – it’s open. In fact, history records in the original experimental adult league at Avila Anderson Mill (2005), it was a group of women in their 30’s and 40’s that beat the younger, more college-oriented group in the final playoff game.

Coed (Recreational)

This is a fun Division! Here’s your chance, you’ve got to participate! Invite your friends and family to the games too. We see everything here –  from church groups to families from the same neighborhood, to friends who just decided to get together on Friday nights and do something cool. This is also a very social group that tends to watch each other’s game and support other teams, but it is still a tough workout that will cause you to sweat like you’ve never done before. You’ve got to come prepared to avoid injury and if you don’t do some other form of exercise at home, the soreness will be with you all week. This league will keep your reactions sharp and prepare you for higher divisions. It’s worth mentioning that outdoor grass can be unsafe for this level of competition. So enjoy our indoor, climate-controlled synthetic grass (no divot) environment.

Naturally, there are special rules associated with this division. They come down to mainly two things:

  • exercising self restraint e.g. Decelerating ones body and not crashing into people
  • having two women on field at all times, at least 3 rostered with each team

Men's Over 30

Finally a top level field with safe rules and a state of the art super soft playing surface to protect those knees. The idea is to play all out – with abandon but be standing the next day at work to tell about it. The great players in this Division also create a wonderful climate of goodwill and participation, often staying around to support their opponents in their matches.  Come be part of the fun and bring your A-Game!
