Avila Creative Soccer is immensely proud to have not one, but two of our finest players to be called on to the National Training Center in Southern California. Jack Imperato and Julian Gaines both made the U.S. U15 Boys National Team Camp Roster. Jack has trained with Avila since he was four and half years old and Julian was a member of our first ever Golden Ticket group.

The U.S. U15 Boys National Team is in camp this week at the National Training Center in Southern California. This is the first camp for the 2002 age group, which would make up the majority of the team for the 2019 U17 World Cup.

On Sunday, the roster for the camp was leaked on twitter. There are 48 players on the list including a number of players with familiar last names. New York City FC Director of Football Operations and former U.S. Soccer Technical Director Claudio Reyna’s son Giovanni is on the list. Masango Akale, the younger brother of U.S. U20 MNT midfielder Mukwelle Akale, and Julian Gaines, the younger brother of U.S. U17 MNT winger McKenzie Gaines, are both on the list. Efrain Alvarez, the younger brother of Colorado Rapids midfielder Carlos Alvarez, is also part of this group.

Lots of familiar ties make some names stand out, but there are others on the list that jump out for the big pool of players for other reasons. De Anza Force midfielder Jack Imperato has already attracted some admirers from European clubs. Twins Kayvon and Tayvon Gray were standouts in the Development Academy last season for the Cedar Stars. Kawika Kelii is the lone representative on the roster from Hawaii.
