Four years. Countless drafts. A few existential crises. And two parents, Sylvia and Peter, with suspicious confidence — who kept believing even when my emotional stability was running a low block.
But I walked that stage at USSU — and that’s worth celebrating here in Austin.
And of course, there’s that other four‑year emotional adventure worth celebrating — the USMNT’s World Cup opener.
So come cheer with us — and let’s hope the only panic comes from the snacks running low.
I’ll be appearing as Dr. Nutmegger, still dangerous in tight spaces and wildly overconfident in my soccer analysis.
It’ll be a family‑friendly, soccer‑loving night to celebrate my journey, enjoy good company, and yell at the TV together. Bring whoever you’d like — the more voices cheering (or groaning), the better.

And because no celebration is complete without a terrible soccer joke:
If they offered a doctorate in nutmegging, I would’ve graduated in the 90s. Hey, it’s never too late for the USMNT either.

Quick FAQ's
Can we bring extra guests?
Absolutely! Family and friends are welcome, the more the merrier. Just make sure to RSVP extra guests too.
Do we have to bring besides chairs or blankets?
You don’t have to bring chairs or blankets, but it’d be more comfy if you do.
You may also sit on the turf or pace around when the match gets intense (just make sure you’re not blocking people’s view).
What should we bring?
It’s potluck optional so feel free to bring food and or drinks to share if you’d like. Or just bring yourself. Both are excellent choices!
Can I bring and consume alcohol?
Yes! But please note that this is a family friendly event so always drink responsibly.
