Introducing Great Duos that Inspire your Child's Imagination
Wells Branch Soccer Association (WBSA) and Avila Creative Soccer are teaming up to provide soccer skills training that frees your child's creativity. WBSA has arranged skills training at Avila's nearby climate-controlled synthetic grass facilities. Sample a fun and unique approach to training and learn the fundamentals of creative soccer. Now, WBSA players can experience our strong reputation for developing highly skilled players and proven stability that shows the effectiveness of our approach.
With the Avila-WBSA collaboration, your player can take advantage of indoor training one day a week at our Round Rock facility (includes 1 Age-appropriate Small Group Class and 1 Specialty Skills Class). However, you must be registered with WBSA for the upcoming season to take advantage of this offer.
Take advantage of FREE training by following these steps:
#1 Choose your Schedule
WBSA players can attend indoor training one a day a week including:
- 1 Age-appropriate Small Group Class
- 1 Specialty Skills Class
The two sessions must be done back to back on the same day, meaning if you choose to attend the Small Group session on Tuesdays at 5:00 PM, the Specialty Skills session must also be done on Tuesdays at 5:30 PM.
#2 Know your Avila Armband Level
All Avila players now wear armbands that correspond to their Level. WBSA players attending Avila sessions must wear armbands as well. Avila Soccer will provide the armbands during each session (please remember to leave them at the facility).
If you don't know what level your child is, you can schedule a complimentary Assessment to find out. Please choose "Club" in Exam Type.

Orange Ready (Provisional Scheduling)
Creating a tool to measure performance has not been easy. Avila Creative Soccer was open for 13 years before fully implementing what has become our signature test. Technically, we refer to it as a Performance Assessment, not a Skills Assessment, in that it rates more than just a player's skills. A player's Level is more than just their skill level; it is the sum of many moving parts.
To think of the quality of a player's skill as something which is quantifiable is difficult at best. Then couple that with the notion that even if a player can demonstrate skill in a laboratory it doesn't mean that player can perform at a level commensurate with said skill level when it counts - meaning on game day. Performance is also about attitude and awareness. The attitude to compete, the tactical awareness to take advantage of time and space.
We found that differences between players are intricate and it turns out that among the different colors and levels, we also have to have sub levels which you may have noticed referred to as New, Ready and Brand. And even that doesn't always go far enough to get player placed in the correct group. In particular, Level two or Orange has been the most challenging group of kids to characterize. So what we have done to help us accommodate certain players in better fitting groups is offer a process for "Orange Ready" players who would normally only be allowed to train between 5:00-6:00 PM. NOW, SUCH PLAYERS can be placed provisionally with the GREENS as a sort of "Play-Up". The GREEN Level 3's train at 6:00-7:00 PM each evening.
If you follow these steps, your child may be able to train from 6:00-7:00 PM.
Let us assess you for free. Go to Exam Days to schedule an exam. Choose "Orange Ready (Provisional Scheduling)" under Exam Type.
If you are cleared to train with Level 3 and above from 6:00-7:00 PM, pay upfront $25 for a mandatory assessment to be taken within 2 months.
Begin training with the Green Level players and above, weeknights from 6:00-7:00 PM, but start preparing to challenge for the level upgrade exam (you already paid for). The exam must be scheduled within 2 months time.
#3 Schedule your sessions for the entire semester
WBSA's free training sessions for the Fall start on September 6, 2016 and end November 11, 2016. Let us know which day and time(s) your child will attend. The schedule you've chosen will be the same throughout the entire semester. Click on the link below to fill out a form. Remember to only pick a session which you are qualified for.
#4 Know our Dress Code
All players, including WBSA players are required to wear an Avila shirt and armband to adhere to the Avila Dress Code. Avila shirts are available for purchase ($5) at the facility. Players who are not in their Avila shirts won't be allowed to enter the field. White pinnie Avila vests are available to wear if players are not in their Avila shirts.
