Avila Soccer patron, Lauren Drake, is a freshman at Round Rock High School who recently made the Varsity soccer Squad. Lauren's trainer, Coach Eryck, believes that Lauren's progress has been stunning.

Lauren and her family first came to Avila Soccer in May with the goal of making the Junior Varsity team of Round Rock High School. We embraced Lauren's quiet resolve and developed a plan that included honing her shooting skills to the point of extreme long range accuracy and power. Lauren had not played competitive select soccer in the past and had yet to cultivate several crucial skills and techniques. There were also tactical field issues to overcome.

However, Lauren committed to an aggressive summer camp package which saw her showing up each and every day. When summer ended, this AP student with straight A's, dared to restructure her schedule to continue daily sessions at Avila Soccer and kept her progress moving forward. The recent news of her selection to the high school team following December tryouts came as a wonderful surprise. Friends and family kept calling Avila Soccer to inform us that she had made the team. Coach Eryck didn't realize what all the fuss was all about until he realized she made not the JV squad, but the Varsity soccer team!
