Coach Eryck here,
Due to popular demand we have extended our hours to the weekend to offer a similar product for the first time!
Between June 5th and August 22nd, we have a WEEKEND "all you can eat" package which entitles athletes to attend Avila Soccer—which is an indoor air-conditioned facility—for the entire summer in an age-appropriate group on both Saturday and Sunday. In addition to the age-appropriate, 45-minute regular skills class on Saturdays and Sundays, athletes will also be able to attend a 45-minute specialty class on both days too. The detailed schedule is available on our Schedule page.
Please note: There are two "all you can eat" programs at Avila Soccer this summer. Athletes in the WEEKEND program are eligible for weekend classes only and visa versa. Athletes in the weekday "all you can eat" program are eligible for weekday classes only!
What are specialty classes, anyway?
Here are a few we’ve got lined up. For more detailed descriptions of the specialty classes, see the bottom of the page.
- Shooting Mechanics Clinics
- Perfect Penalty Kicks
- Dribbling Is An Attitude
- Tactical Awareness

- Amazing Juggling/Dribbling Tricks
All camps classes take place at Avila Soccer, an indoor air-conditioned synthetic grass facility, on the weekends between June 5th and August 22nd.

Specialty class descriptions:
Special Note: Specialty classes are not age specific. For the most part they are not interactive classes and everyone will work with their own ball. Also, You do not have to come to the Specialty Class directly before or after the age specific small group class you attend i.e. your regular class; you may attend any one that is offered throughout the day.
Shooting Mechanics Clinic
A 45-minute class featured this summer specializing in shooting anatomy. We'll deconstruct and review every aspect of shooting in detail: visualization, approach, plant foot positioning, setting the frame, angle of release, turning radius, rotary momentum, follow-through and critical velocity.
Perfect Penalty Kicks
A 45-minute specialty class featured this summer designed to guide players through the process and pressure associated with penalty kick taking. Everything from stepping up to volunteer for this high stakes moment to choosing the correct corner (of the net) technique, and cadence is reviewed.
Dribbling Is An Attitude
A 45-minute specialty class featured this summer for any skill level focused on showing players how to take the responsibility for attacking and penetrating versus a mentality of passing the ball off.
Tactical Awareness
A 45-minute class featured this summer aimed at helping inefficient players confused about positioning. Players learn to be in the right places during key moments. Detailed live and chalk board explanations about: blind side runs, seams and passing lanes, switching the point of attack, marking space versus marking the player, side ways -on positioning, passing and moving, and more!
Bicycle Kicks/Specialty Kicks
A 45-minute fun and inspirational class featured this summer using a state of the art 12’’ thick dive mat, teaches secrets of specialty finishing including: bicycle (overhead) kicks, scissor kicks, banana kicks, in-swingers, corner kicks, and set pieces from outside the box!
No Fear Defending
A 45-minute specialty class featured this summer that gets to the nuts and bolts of what keeps teams from losing games–fierce defending! Concepts of depth of positioning; marking the man versus marking space; stabbing at the ball; slide tackling (we use a state-of-the-art 12" thick dive mat), and jockey and delay techniques as well as shepherding opponents into less dangerous spaces, will all be covered!
Amazing Juggling/Dribbling Tricks
Hey let’s not forget the fun! This 45-minute specialty class featured this summer pulls no stops and features the most outrageous and clever juggles and dribbling moves that both urban street players and legendary professionals alike have dared to imagine!
Sit-Ups/Push-Ups
This will be a fun way to face one of the greatest challenges of any endurance athlete: developing core strength. Let's see what you look like at the end of the summer. Participants are encouraged to bring their own mats. It's open to parents and players alike.
